Season 8 to be decided at Daytona

Season 8 of the RCCO World eX Championship will be decided at Daytona International Speedway. The famous 24-hour race track has been selected for the 2025 Super Final scheduled for November 4.

The new season of the unique sim racing community will see the introduction of an updated version of the all-electric eX ZERO prototype, including a new anti-lock braking system, slightly revised aerodynamics, different suspension and revised tyres. The changes are designed to make the car more predictable and consistent, further improving the racing experience.

The World eX race format remains unchanged following the successful introduction of a sprint and main race last season. The regular season consists of eight events from March to October, followed by the title-deciding Super Final.

The Super Final will be a points race for the first time in World eX history, while 3-2-1 points will be awarded for Qualifying.

The removal of the former AM class means that in 2025 all competitors will be competing for overall glory. A handicap system might be introduced during the season to level the playing field.

The venues for six of the nine eX Prixs will be selected by community members on a monthly basis, while the RCCO has added two iconic tracks to the schedule as pre-selected venues: Indy and the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

All World eX events will continue to have a special theme, with the opening round on 4 March entitled “Born in the USA”. Competitors will be able to choose between Laguna Seca, Portland and Watkins Glen.

Racing For The Climate e.V. continues to plant a tree for every participant and event. In total, 110 trees have been planted last season, which will help to absorb more than one tonne of CO2 per year.
