After an unsuccessful operation in 2007 to correct hip dysplasia, he had to reinvent himself and a new way of life. He is a professional photographer and one of the most successful disabled racers. Sim racing allows him to compete at a high level despite not being able to use is legs, and he is also actively developing more advanced hand controls for both the real and virtual worlds.
