First RCCO victory for Julius Martin

Since his childhood Julius Martin has been a big motorsport fan. As a result, he studied mechanical engineering with a focus on automotive technology. In addition, the development engineer is currently working on a software solution to visualize CO2 emissions. “That got me thinking more and more about sustainability,” says the 26-year-old from Dresden, who is thus a perfect fit for the RCCO Business Club and the RCCO E-Sport Series with its motto “Networking at Highspeed”.

Now Julius Martin has won his first race with the eX ZERO: On the demanding track of Portimao, the driver from Dresden won the first of the two races starting from pole position in a commanding manner ahead of Andre Dietzel (tv racing) and Michael Niemas (NReSports).

In the second race with reversed grid, Martin had a harder time. He was stuck behind the now white eX ZERO of Björn Skottke (bspowersports) for several laps before he finally managed to overtake the RCCO slot car champion. However, the top trio was already out of reach at this point.

Victory in the second race was decided between Dominik Heußen (nikdom) and Andre Dietzel. Heußen had already fought a duel with the championship leader in the first race before he spun off and had to retire. Heußen was initially able to exploit the advantage of pole position in the second race before Andre Dietzel took the lead out of the sliptstream and ultimately clinched the victory.

With second place, Dominik Heußen qualified for the Super Final of the RCCO E-Sport Series at Le Mans, as did Michael Niemas, who also finished third in the second race at Portimao.

The race continues on November 1 at Paul Ricard.
