World eX will field its own team in the 2026 Wings for Life World Run – and we’re inviting all World eX competitors, partners and friends to join Team World eX.
The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity run that raises funds for research to find a cure for spinal cord injury. The non-profit Wings for Life Foundation invests 100% of all entry fees and donations directly into cutting-edge spinal cord research and clinical studies, following the motto ‘Running for those who can’t’.
Unlike a traditional race, everyone worldwide starts at the same time and is chased by a Catcher Car – once it overtakes you, your race is over. Runners and wheelchair users of all performance levels take part together, making the event one of the most inclusive and inspiring dates on the global running calendar.
The 13th edition of the Wings for Life World Run will take place on Sunday, 10 May 2026. Participants can either join organized events around the world or run anywhere they like using the official Wings for Life World Run App, starting simultaneously with hundreds of thousands of others globally (for Central Europe the start is at 13:00 CEST).
Because of this hybrid format, you can be part of Team World eX from wherever you are – on your favorite running route at home, in your local park, or together with friends at one of the official App Run locations.
Since the inaugural edition in 2014, the Wings for Life World Run has grown into the largest synchronized running event in the world. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of runners and wheelchair users from more than 190 countries have taken part, turning the run into a truly global movement for spinal cord research. Collectively, participants have raised tens of millions of euros for Wings for Life, with every cent of entry fees and donations going into research projects and clinical trials.
This funding helps scientists worldwide work on therapies that could one day allow people with spinal cord injuries to regain movement and independence
For the 2026 edition, World eX is creating its own official team so that our community can run together for this important cause. World eX competitors, community members, partners and friends are all welcome to sign up for the Wings for Life World Run and choose Team World eX when registering.
To highlight our involvement, we have designed a special livery for our all-electric eX ZERO Evo. This striking design will be visible in our virtual races and content to promote the event and encourage even more people to join the Wings For Life World Run and support spinal cord research.
World eX is part of the non-profit organization Racing For The Climate e.V., which promotes initiatives in motorsport that have a positive impact on the climate. Our sim racing series already combines zero-emission electric prototypes with concrete climate action – and the Wings for Life World Run fits perfectly with this mission.
As in previous years, we will again plant one tree for every race participation in World eX Season 9, continuing the initiative that has already resulted in more than 200 trees being planted.
