Daytona International Raceway has come to rFactor 2 and the iconic US race track has been host to round 2 of World eX Bizz \u2013 the little sister of the World eX Championship which means business. The stunning track in Florida will also host round 2 of the RCCO World eX Championship presented by Patrick Long Esports on April 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patrick Long\u2019s Henry Drury was a popular addition to the grid in World eX Bizz. The US-based Brit had some issues with his computer and could not set a time in qualifying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite being involved in various incidents in both races he nevertheless enjoyed being part of World eX Bizz for the first time as this new esports racing series is more about networking then result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
World eX co-founder Mike Rockenfeller was back on the Bizz grid after winning the two opening rounds at Spa-Francorchamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Daytona 24 winner clinched pole position and was heading for a third victory in a row when a slight mistake in the infield caused a spin and a contact with the barriers. \u201cRocky\u201d missed the podium finishing 4th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Things turned even worse for the pro racing driver in Race 2. Trying to stay out of trouble in the frantic opening lap, \u201cRocky\u201d ran wide and dropped to the very end of the field, eventually finishing 9th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andre Dietzel from Volkswagen Communications scored the first World eX Bizz victory for tv racing after passing defending Champion Julius Martin out of the slipstream at the end of Lap 2 before he benefited from Mike Rockenfeller\u2019s mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Julius Martin came home in P2 while Stefan Waschow confirmed his strong performance from the opening round at Spa-Francorchamps finishing third and winning the amateur class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His teammate and two-time RCCO E-Sport Series Champion Michael Niemas had a rough day at Daytona spinning out of the lead on the opening lap of Race 1 and being pushed off by Bj\u00f6rn Skottke in the bus-stop chicane on the opening lap of Race 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luckily, the accident happened only in the virtual world but the #windshadowman was very angry and disappointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Teammate Stefan Waschow saved the honour of NReSports finishing third also in the reversed-grid, scoring the fourth consecutive victory in the A-M class. This means, Waschow will soon pre promoted to the PRO class of World eX Bizz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dominant driver of Race 2 was Dominik Heussen who stayed clear of all dramas in the opening lap and kept Julius Martin had bay who was involved in a nice 3-car battle with his brother Markus and Stefan Waschow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
World eX Bizz rookie Markus Martin finished fourth as the second best A-M driver just ahead of Andre Dietzel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Race 1 winner spun on Lap 1 when trying to avoid the crash between Michael Niemas and Bj\u00f6rn Skottke. He fought back to fifth with another strong performance which included a thrilling battle with wild card driver Henry Drury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dietzel is now second in the drivers\u2019 championship just six points behind Mike Rockenfeller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dominik Heussen, Bj\u00f6rn Skottke and Jan Sellner secured their tickets for the Super Final with their Daytona results, making it a good day for bs powersports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
