Chris Overend has finally celebrated his long overdue victory in World eX Bizz, ending the winning streak of his former teammate Devin Braune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overend and Braune were teammates at WRT in World eX 2022. However, in the networking Esports Racing series World eX Bizz, the two race for different teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Braune secured pole position also in Misano, his seventh in a row. But at the start of Race 1, his eX ZERO stalled on the front row of the grid. Steffen Walter right behind him could not avoid the stranded car and sent Braune into a spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Braune was able to work his way up to second place with blistering pace and great overtaking manoeuvres, but Chris Overend at the top was out of reach for him too thus ending his streak of 14 consecutive race wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Steffen Walter completed the podium of the first race after he managed to fend off an attack by Julius Martin in the very last corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Martin had been one of the fastest drivers in pre-event testing, but did not manage a valid lap in qualifying due to track-limit violations and had to start the first race from the last row of the grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His brother Markus Martin led the race in the early stages but retired at half-time due to a driving mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thomas Voigt finished in fifth place, thus winning the AM class, although the force feedback support on his simulator had failed shortly after the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a spectacular second race with reversed grid, Devin Braune re-established the usual pecking order. The leader of the standings fought his way forward position by position and finally celebrated another superior victory \u2013 the 15th<\/sup> of the season \u2013 ahead of Julius Martin and Thomas Voigt, who managed a double victory in the AM class in Misano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Luca Munro had a disappointing day. He was fighting for the lead in the first race before a controversial contact with Markus Martin.
