Starting from pole position at Paul Ricard, Julius Martin celebrated his second victory in the RCCO E-Sport Series, the networking platform for interesting people from the motorsport and mobility industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first of the two races, the engineer from Dresden benefited from the fact that Steffen Walter and Andre Dietzel (both tv racing) were at odds behind him and fought a fierce duel throughout the race. When championship leader Andre Dietzel was able to prevail against his teammate shortly before the finish, the gap to Martin at the top was already too large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the second race, Steffen Walter celebrated his first victory with the eX ZERO. As a guest driver of the #RaceHome Charity Racing Series, the software developer and IT Consultant & Team Leader at trivago joined the RCCO at the beginning of the Corona pandemic \u2013 at that time still with the Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo on the Playstation. In season 1 of the RCCO E-Sport Series he managed a victory in Laguna Seca. Now, then, the first victory with the 1,000-hp eX ZERO. \u201cThe knot has slowly broken now,\u201d Walter said. \u201cBut it was a tough job to keep Julius behind me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the \u201creversed-grid\u201d race, Walter built a solid lead early on, but it dwindled in the closing stages. Julius Martin caught up with the leader at the front, but Walter defended himself skillfully and narrowly crossed the finish line as the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Thomas Voigt (also tv racing), another driver secured his ticket for the Superfinal at Le Mans on December 20 at Paul Ricard. The slot car record champion benefited from a driving error by Bodo Kr\u00e4ling, who rolled his eX ZERO shortly before the end of the race. In addition, contact at the start between the old slot car rivals Thomas Voigt and Bj\u00f6rn Skottke caused some excitement: Because neither of the two wanted to give way on the way to Turn 1, there was contact which threw both back to the end of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
