Former Formula One driver Alex Yoong was a wild card driver in his World eX home race at Sepang in 2021. He struggled with the brakes of his eX ZERO. The Axle Sport car had a second outing in World eX later that year in the streets of Maastricht driven by his son Alister Yoong. Naquib Azlan scored a podium finish at Interlagos as a wild card entry with this car.
