The Automobilclub von Deutschland (AvD) was the sporting organizer of the World eX Championship in Season 1. The AvD became also a presenting partner of the RCCO E-Sport Series (which would later become known as World eX Bizz) for which it provided a VIP car in a striking red livery. Esports racer Michi Hoyer won the first ever official World eX race with eX ZERO 010 in 2021 at Zandvoort, beating World eX Co-Founder Mike Rockenfeller.
